Ellen is the only dressage rider on our team. She is an ambitious and talented young rider that has already experienced much success. Ellen first sat on a horse when she was 10 months old and “never really came down again”. Her mother use to pick her up from preschool on her horse and Ellen would sit in front of her in the saddle. These are great memories for Ellen who got her own pony when she was just 4 (a Shetland pony named Robbin). Since then it has gone bit by bit until Ellen has become a talented professional. Besides riding, Ellen trains and a training studio, goes jogging, plays handball and paints.

Amongst those who have supported Ellen with her career are her parents, who Ellen says have made everything possible and supported her all the way. She has been with her trainer, Gunn Skovholt for 12 years and has imparted very significant wisdom and knowledge to Ellen. She has aslo lent her horses.

One of the best things about riding is the feeling you get when your blood is racing through your veins at the sight of a crowd so enormous as for example VM. You then know how far you have come.
