Despite his youth Emil is extremely driven and dedicated to the sport. He has already achieved fantastic results both home and abroad including winning “Norges Mester” in 2008 and again last year. Emil says he was “more or less born on the back of a horse!” He has been riding almost as long he has been walking and competed in his first competition at the young age of 12. His father – international show jumper and trainer Peter Flam – has trained Emil, which, along with the inspiring input of Geir Gulliksen has made him what he is today. The key to Emil´s success is arguably his never-give-up attitude. He has fiery ambition and we hope to soon see Emil achieve his dream: to compete in the Olympic games!

I don´t often start competitions with one of the strongest horses. So I work hard to be better than my competitors in every other aspect.
