I bought this as a "test" to see what kind of quality the Horze bridles were. All I can say is I wish it came in brown so I could use it as a show bridle! The leather is soft and pliable. The crown piece is softly padded and the overhead cavason strap is a nice comfort detail. I also like that the throatlatch has buckles on both sides. I got the cob and it runs true to size. The "diamonds" are set in deep enough that they won't pop out, and add a nice sparkle. I do wish the padding on the disk of the figure 8 was a bit more plush and less fluffy, and I am not a fan of the cotton web stopper reins. Overall an outstanding value for the price. I marked the style down due to the web reins and the excess fleece on the disk.
This bridle is really good value. It looks great but is also really soft especially the head piece which is nicely padded. I would definately recommend !
I bought this bridle at a show in Cavan. I loved it, it fitted so well and looked amazing at shows on my grey mare, gypsy. Then boxing day our yard was broken into and it was stolen along with my other saddles and bridles =( Gutted there are no full size ones anymore as I wanted to replace it. it was the most amazing bridle looking wise and quality wise and I will really miss it. Real value for money =)
Amazing quality bridle, looks absolutely beautiful on my gelding. Fantastic quality, has been used in all weathers and still looks pretty much brand new! 100% recommend this product and will be sure t replace it once its had its day, but still going strong after a year!
A beautiful bridle at a good price, fits my pony (with an out of proportion head) well!
This is a great bridle at a fair price. Soft leather, well put together and it fit my Arabian nicely. Though I have to agree with the last review, the fluff on the figure eight band is a bit much, and it sheds! but overall i'm happy with my purchase.
The new horse I lease jumps with a figure 8 so I wanted this style bridle. I read a lot of online reviews that said you needed to spend a lot of money to get a decent bridle. Instead, I took a chance of this one, and I'm so happy I did. The leather is a much nicer quality that I thought I could get at this price, and the padding is well done, especially on the headpiece. I like bling, so the little jewels add a bit of sparkle. They are set fairly deep and appear to be secure. I do wish it came in brown (hint hint Horze) though it doesn't matter for schooling. The fleece part on the noseband is quite fluffy out to the sides and not so thick top to bottom as compared to my trainer's bridle. I will see how it holds up, it could probably be replaced if needed down the road. I also like the buckles that hold the bit (instead of that little post) and a lady who rides at my barn said she'd been looking for that style for quite awhile.
I also don't really like the fleece part on the noseband. It to long and gets caught on the straps when you move the nose piece around. It is also starting to come off a little bit. Super glue can help with that I think and I also want to trim the fleece down a little bit I think. Also I hate web reins. I wish it came with rubber reins. But overall it is a cute bridle and very nice for the price.
I actually bought this bridle new, but second hand from someone who had purchased the wrong size. Overall I really like it. Love the subtle stone in the noseband and brow, and really like the padded crown. The sheepskin disk on the noseband is RIDICULOUS though. It probably had a 4" diameter and was WAY too poofy. Simple fix though, I just cut all the fleece from the sides and now it looks totally normal. Nice soft leather, but I wish it came with leather reins like my other horze bridle did.
Wow, I just Got this bridle in the mail. And I have to say it far outweighed my expectations of it...it's awesome! Yes, the nose thingy is super fuzzy..so what, just cut it down. After being at dover saddlery last weekend and looking at all the 200-400 bridles, I wasn't impressed for what you got for the $$. So GLAD I bought it!!! Will look great on my grey while on xc! Oh, I agree with another reviewer make it in brown and include leather reins.
I bought this type of bridle for first time and I even used it wrongly, but anyway it fitted very well and it is good quality (soft leather) as it dos not make scratches on horse skin! Also it is good prepared for different types of weather, as I have been in rain and afterwards mud, but bridle survived that all well even sheep skin crown looks as good as before! Good value out of speeded money!
I would buy this bridle along with many others if it was sold in brown. I love the monocrown, diamonds and padding. I need this bridle to come in brown for my jumpers
I have had this bridle for over a year now and ride it in probably 4-5 times a week with occasonal vacations. The ONLY complaints I have for it now, is that the diamonds on both sides of the nose band came straight off, but rightfully so after nearly a year of riding. The other complaint is the reins. I would much prefer it to come with leather reins. But, you get what you get! Overall, its a great bridle and I would recommend it to anyonee who needs this noseband.Very strong
I love this bridle it's so cute! I cannot get it because I have a light grown english saddle. I would definitely buy it if it came in a light brown.
Such a brilliant bridle which sits super cosy on my boy! Love it! Plus it looks adorable!
This product is wonderful!! I used it on my OTTB and it looked gorgeous! It is very durable and I'm still using it after about a year and it still looks almost new!! I would definitely recommend this product
I have a pretty picky ottb gelding when it comes to his tack. I was already switching to all black gear when I ran into this bridle at a local tack store (that does business with horze.com). My trainer kept saying to try a figure eight on my picky giant, so I took the chance! Its held up for five months so far and he seems to love the fit on his face! He's slobbered all over it, rolled in the pond with it, you name it, and the bridle holds up amazingly well! I nornally don't bother to leave reviews but I love this one so much. Plus my guy looks super handsome in it! Wish I could upload a picture eith my review.
I got this bridle for Christmas two years ago. I unfortunately can't use it for shows, but I use it for casual riding. It has beautiful bead work, none of the beads have come off yet. Just the whole bridle in general is gorgeous, and after two years, it still looks intact. This is an amazing, durable bridle!
The bridle was pretty much what I would expect to get at this price point. The leather is a little stiff but it is acceptable and breaks in with cleaning. It never bled dye and the stitching is uniform and secure. After six months of almost daily use, it is still in great shape. I purchased a pony sized for a petite 16h horse to use with a baucher (hanging bit) and was able to adjust all the other pieces to fit just fine. With a normal bit, he probably would have needed a cob. It is difficult to tell how this would fit a horse with a standard head because his head is just really little in places. I like the included web reins. So many bridles have flat leather reins (or no reins) and these are much better. When I upgraded to a more expensive bridle, I kept the reins in use. I did take clippers to the fleece on the figure eight. It was laughably long but it was an easy fix.
Beautiful bridle, soft leather. Did not fit either of my thoroughbreds. My gelding wears a cob size as does my mare, but she can also wear pony sized due too her petite head. The cob size was too tight on him and too loose on her, sent back for the full size and it still didn't fit him right and was just huge on her. Ended up selling it to a friend whose warmbloods cross it fit beautifully. Disappointed it didn't work out for me, it was a beautiful bridle
I was overall impressed with the quality of this bridle. The leather is nice and soft, the crystal accents are set well in not a single stone is at all loose, and the comfort crown is really nice. I did trim away a little of the fluff on the nose as it was just too overpowering on my mare's face, but better to have to trim too much than have too little. I got the cob size for my 14.3 horse. The band around the jaw fits nicely on the second to last hole, but the lower band that fastens under the bit is a snug fit on the very first hole. It's not too tight and the leather is stretching a bit, so the fit is good, but my mare doesn't have a huge muzzle. It might have worked better in a Horse size, but then the cheek pieces would have been too long and the jaw strap too loose. Also, I wish the buckle on the lower strap buckled higher up like a flash strap rather than right on the lower lip. It doesn't bother my horse though so no big deal.
