The dandy brush for horses is a brush made of hard, firm bristles, designed to remove coarse dirt from the horse. In order for you to be able to hold the brush well, the horse dandy brush usually has a narrow back and is elongated. Dandy brushes are especially suitable for the legs, which are more sensitive than the rest of the body. As there is no layer of muscle over tendons and ligaments, other grooming tools such as curry combs can be uncomfortable for your horse's legs.

A dandy brush is a good way to remove mud and sand while stimulating blood circulation through the gentle massage of the brush strokes. Of course, you can also clean the rest of the horse's body with a dandy brush, but depending on how strong and firm the bristles are, it can be uncomfortable for some horses.
