Horze Double-Jointed Loose Ring Apple Snaffle Bit
Description

Description

An apple-flavored mouthpiece will make this loose ring snaffle your horse's favorite.

A quality bit from Horze that is milder than the commonly used English jointed snaffle bits. This is a popular bit, constructed of a stainless steel core and non-toxic high tech plastic, making it soft, flexible, gentle and comfortable for your horse. The double-jointed mouthpiece provides independent action on each side of the horse’s mouth. The unique apple scent increases acceptance of the bit for both young and older horses. This will not interfere with a horse’s palate, is great for advanced training and is one of the most popular mouthpieces for dressage work. Like most English snaffle bits the primary action is the pull on the bars of the mouth. The single jointed mouth piece exerts a nut cracker effect when the bit is engaged, pressuring the tongue and roof of the mouth. (V shape) Due to the extra joint the nut cracker effect is reduced because they conform better to the horse’s U shaped mouth.

Features:

  • Double-jointed bits provide more room for the horse's tongue
  • Apple-flavored for better acceptance
  • Synthetic rubber bit is softer on the mouth than ordinary steel snaffles
  • Used in all types of riding
  • Non-toxic
  • Great for advanced training
  • Will not interfere with horses palate

Usage instructions:

How it works:Like most English snaffle bits the primary action is the pull on the bars of the mouth. The single jointed mouth piece exerts a nut cracker effect when the bit is engaged , pressuring the tongue and roof of the mouth. (V shape) Due to the extra joint the nut cracker effect is reduced because they conform better to the horse's "U" shaped mouth.

Great dentition. In my opinion, better than that of Waldhausen / Happy Mouth because it has no imprint that rubs in his mouth .......

Is well accepted by the horse. Is not cold in winter. Does not rattle like normal water tears. Have only had good experience with a young horse.

I'm happy with the quality (no rough edges on the plastic, nice stainless steel rings) and my horse is happy with the flavor!

Great bit

Perfect bit for a picky and stubborn horse like mine. Keeps him happy, which makes me happy :) Very smooth all over, no rough edges, and I've had it for a year and it's still in great shape. Would definitely buy again

We wanted a light bit for an OTTB horse with a sensitive mouth. We choose this bit. It has worked quite well for him. The rubber has stayed the same for the past few months we have had it, even with his chewing. Great Bit.
