A therapeutic back pad will relax muscles and aid in injury prevention or healing.
This therapeutic back pad uses state-of-the-art Welltex fabric, which contains polyester thread embedded with a fine ceramic powder. Designed to reflect the horse’s own body-warmth, it creates a soothing infrared thermal heat, which can help alleviate pain associated with inflamed muscles, ligaments, tendons and joints. Used for both injury prevention as well as injury recovery. The back pad helps to warm up your horse’s back before exercise, loosening up the muscles. The special fabric reflects body heat and relaxes muscles. Nylon girth straps allow the use of a surcingle and is perfect for use pre-competition, pre-training, or overnight under your horses blanket. A hook-and-loop fasteners strip detaches and this pad may be sewn into an existing blanket.

I train a horse with a fairly sensitive top line. Precisely in the winter, I thought it would be nice to be able to heat the back before and after training. The horse reacts super well to it! Much more relaxation also in the release over the back. The back heater has also been used by a number of friends and acquaintances and they are all equally enthusiastic about it. It is unbelievable in the first instance how hot it gets under the pad after about fifteen minutes. Horses go completely relaxed, as if they are under the solarium! I am completely sold with regard to the Back on Track products. You really have super quality for a price that may seem high at first. I think the back heater is really worth its money.
To be honest, it's awful. I can't tell you how well it works because I can't keep it on the horse. It isn't shaped to fit in any way so it doesn't sit flat. With a sircingle over it it walked itself out immediately. I then put the sircingle through the girth loops, and it walked itself and the sircingle backwards. (This is as soon as the horse moved around). I tried the sticky Velcro strip, but that doesn't attach itself to the slippery nylon linings of my summer weight rain rugs. I can't think of another way to hold it on the back of my horse. A breast strap would stop it walking backwards, but I think that would be mighty uncomfortable for the horse for several hours. I have given up. It's folded in my utility room. I guess I'll put it on eBay.
Fantastic! I myself have a horse that is sore in the back, this product has been absolutely superb. It really works as it should and I really have nothing else but to say that it has kept what it promised! The disadvantages of this product are that it is expensive and it is not shaped after the horse's back, so it can be left a little "curly" if you are not good at straightening it. Recommended!
A fantastic product with many uses; affixed to your horse's usual quilt gives it the effect all the time, applied after training with a duvet gives it extra relaxation for already heated muscles. Or why not try shaking your hair and wrap yourself in Back-On-Back's back heater when you are stiff after a hard day in the stable.
very good product, I recommend it for all types of horses. it actually heats the horse's back. whether before or after work, it helps to prepare the back of the horse.
