Bandages protect and support the horse's sensitive leg against shocks or blows. They provide excellent air circulation and offer the possibility of supporting the healing process in case of injuries. In such cases, they are often used in combination with bandaging pads.
Stable bandages, under which a bandaging pad is placed, can be used with a cooling pad to cool the horse's legs. Stable bandages can also be useful for minor injuries if your horse needs to be bandaged overnight or to prevent possible injuries.

In addition to their protective and supportive functions, bandages are also a great way to accentuate your look and that of your horse. Use colour-coordinated bandages to match your saddle pads or riding equipment.
For a successful performance at the show, you will naturally choose white bandages, but for training in the stable you can choose from the full range of colours. If you like to sparkle, choose bandages with diamante details and train in style while protecting your horse.
Wrapping bandages around the horse's leg is not always a simple task.
It is important to make sure the bandage does not crease, as this can lead to excess pressure, pain and friction and can be very uncomfortable for your horse. You should not wrap the bandages too tightly, otherwise they can impair blood circulation and cause pain. They should also not be too loose, as that would cause them to have no effect. Loose bandages also run the risk of slipping or coming off completely.
With a little practice, however, putting on the bandages will quickly become routine.
