Girths are measured from center of buckle to center of buckle.

To measure the length of the girth you need, start with placing the saddle pad and saddle on the horse. Using a tape measure, measure the distance from the middle billet hole on one side of the saddle to the same position on the other side. The tape should be placed about one hand’s width behind the horse’s elbow. This measurement equals the size of the girth. As saddles have different sizes and strap lengths, it may be necessary to measure for a new girth if you change your saddle.

To switch between short (dressage) and long girths, add or subtract about 20 inches (51 cm) respectively.

Made from super soft high-density faux lambswool, this GP Slip-On Girth Sleeve is carefully designed for general purpose saddles. This slip-on style is breathable and prevents sweat build-up and rubbing in the girth area. The cushioning maximises comfort and is especially great for sensitive skinned horses.

REMOVE DIRT WITH A STIFF BRUSH BEFORE WASHING. MACHINE WASH AT 30 DEGREES ON A COOL/DELICATE CYCLE OR HAND WASH. ENSURE ALL touch tape IS SECURELY CLOSED PRIOR TO WASHING. STRAIGHTEN/FLATTEN ITEM AFTER WASHING. AIR DRY ONLY, DO NOT TUMBLE DRY. AVOID USING STRONG FABRIC CONDITIONERS. WARNING: IN RARE CASES DYE FROM BLACK WOOL ITEMS MAY LEACH FROM WOOL ITEMS GIVING A SLIGHT BLUE TINT. STAINING OF GREY COATS CAN OCCUR.
